What makes this place even better is the variety of Vietnamese food on the menu. From crispy, fresh Banh Mi to traditional noodle dishes and refreshing Vietnamese drinks, there’s something for everyone. “ BANH MI, Vietnamese Roll, Crispy Pork, yum, yum and yum. Generous helpings of tender meat and crackling, accompanied by lovely fresh chilli and coriander. Appears they roast their pork in-house. I’m told the rolls are from the Vietnamese baker at West Wallsend. Friendly people, great service, clean, well-presented local dining option. ”

The pickled veg added a zesty crunch, cutting through the fattiness of the pork, while the cucumber and coriander brought a refreshing freshies. A good serve of pâté and creamy mayonnaise gave it a moorish touch. And of course, the chilli. Saigon Bistro’s crispy pork belly banh mi was yummi, punchy, and incredibly satisfying. If you know anything about Vietnamese rolls or Bahn mi - Saigon Bistro is a must try. ”

“ One of my favourite banh mi places. We got one to compare to the kfc banh mi one when they had the promotion going on. I’d like heaven and earth in comparison. This one has all the standard ingredients of the traditional one with one extra touch to it. Pork crackling on top. That’s game changer and really elevated the taste. Plenty of street parking nearby as well as the mall nearby. Staff are nice and friendly and prices are reasonable ”
